Mary Quant, the creater of the mini-skirt, is British. She was born on February, 11th 1934 in London, England.
She attended the Goldsmith's College of Arts. In 1957, aged 23, she married Alexander Plunked Greene.
Her first shop was named Bazaar and it was situated in King's Road, Chelsea.
She was a fashion designer and after she became entrepeneur.
She became famous because she designed the mini-skirt which was very emblematic at that decade- the 60's.
She received The Hall of Fame Award from the British Council in 1990.
